As-Builts:
Duke Energy Corp. - Productivity Links has performed remote as-built maintenance
for installation and replacement of facilities on company-owned natural
gas pipeline systems.
Contract Staffing:
Employees are currently placed onsite at clients' offices performing work
in the areas of GIS maintenance, Visual Basic programming, as-built maintenance,
data conversion, engineering codes and document management.
Custom Cartography:
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce - Productivity Links
created the Myrtle Beach Tourism Map for the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Thousands of people visit Myrtle Beach each year and use/purchase their
maps.
Heart of the Rockies Chamber of Commerce - Productivity
Links created a user friendly county map using ArcView software in a geographic
information systems environment, for the Heart of the Rockies Chamber
of Commerce.
Montgomery College - Productivity Links supplied the
aerial photography for a map included in a promotional brochure for Montgomery
College. This brochure is given to all new businesses located in
the South Montgomery County area to show the workforce development features
of the college.
Geobase Development:
Chevron Pipe Line Co.- Productivity Links was the project manager for
the development of a geobase for approximately 350 miles of pipeline
utilizing orthorectified, panchromatic (B&W) satellite imagery
as the 5-meter image base. The geobase is being used by Chevron
to enhance risk management and conform to OPS National Mapping Standards.
Geographic Information Systems:
Anson County, North Carolina Tax Department - Productivity Links created
a custom GIS for the Anson County Tax Department and maintained land records
for Anson County. New deeds were processed and loaded into the GIS server
as they were delivered from the Registrar of Deeds. Deeds were then delivered
to the Tax Assessor for entry into the county's AS400 database.
ProLinks updated other Tax Department computers once a week with the new
GIS information from the server. In addition, ProLinks performed
many special projects requested by the Tax Assessor, such as creation
of specific project maps and GIS edits outside the realm of normal deed
processing.
Anson County, North Carolina Water Department - Productivity
Links has maintained the GIS at the Anson County Water Department through
quarterly updates and on-call technical support. Data for quarterly
updates was gathered by handheld GPS equipment and then processed.
On-call technical support ranged from ArcView help and data manipulation
to general hardware and software support.
Project Management:
Chevron Pipe Line Co. - Productivity Links was the project manager for
Chevron's alignment sheet generation project. Productivity Links tested
the software and performed QA/QC on the converted drawings.
Port of Houston Authority/Channel Development Department - Productivity
Links conducted a needs assessment and provided recommendations for the
creation of a geographic information based pipeline identification system.
GPS Data Collection:
Anson County, North Carolina Water Department GPS Data Collection - Productivity
Links has performed GPS locating services for the Anson County, NC Water
Department on a quarterly basis. The data collection updates the GIS developed
by ProLinks for the Water Department, and includes all new facilities
that have been constructed or removed in the past quarter. Once
obtained, the data is processed to merge seamlessly with the existing
GIS.
The Anson County Water Department uses the database
and ArcView map to monitor maintenance requirements, determine future
inventory needs and to locate valves, hydrants and meters. County workers
are also able to print sections of the map for use in the field, rather
than taking the entire map of the county with them.
Software Testing: Productivity Links completed the coordination of software/system
testing on Duke Energy's geographic information system. In place of module
and on-site testing by the software developer, Productivity Links managed
a team of personnel consisting of both Duke employees and contract staff.
Requirements capture, test plan development, testing standards, and system
testing tracking were developed and implemented by Productivity Links
on behalf of Duke Energy and Intergraph Corp.
